Claudette Pace

Claudette Pace represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 in Sweden where she placed 8th with the song “Desire” (Phillip Vella & Gerard James Borg). She started her singing career back in 1987 as a student. She took part in various musicals, theatre productions and events, playing leading roles like Nancy (Oliver), Miss Hannigan (Annie), Dolores (Sister Act) and Annie Wilks (Mysery). In 1993 Claudette took part in the Song for Europe Festival for the first time. Since then she appeared regularly winning several prestigious awards. In 1995 she won the award for Best Female Artist, whilst in 1998 she released her first CD Album “Beginnings” which was also nominated for Best CD of that year.

In recent years Claudette Pace has appeared as a guest artist in major shows, concerts and festivals including “007 – The Bond Show”, “Strait Street” and “Malta Song For Europe 2006”. Claudette has trained and performed in Bologna (Italy) and Berlin (Germany). She has also performed in several song festivals and events namely in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Khazakstan, Turkey, Cyprus, Bratislava and Sweden. Jazz remains Claudette’s passion and greatest satisfaction and her targets are to perform this art form to a wider audience both locally and internationally. Claudette released her second CD album called “Claudette Pace”, this album was released and sold out in Australia during her tour in summer 2002.

Since 1996 Claudette Pace has produced and presented several programmes. Among her most popular TV shows we find Sellili, Inservik, Gejna Koppji, C’Est La Vie, Dizzy, Lejn Il-Eurovision, Persjani Mbexxqa and L-ISFIDA. Claudette also appeared as Alexandra Tabone who runs the female penitentiary SANTA MONIKA – the most popular drama on Maltese TV. In 2001, Claudette and her husband and co-producer David, set up Cliché Media & Entertainment Co Ltd, producing some of the most popular TV programmes. They are currently working in the marketing and advertising fields.
In 2003, the couple were blessed with a daughter – Kristina.
