Dr. Frank Portelli

Dr. Frank Portelli is an EU Accredited Specialist in General Surgery, and is CEO St Philips Hospital. Born in 1944, he became a medical doctor in 1969, and Fellow Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh FRCS (Ed) in 1974. Dr. Portelli’s clinical experience includes hospitals and clinics both in Malta and abroad. He was a lecturer in Clinical Anatomy University of Malta (1993-1998). His political career included President of the Executive, and President General Council of the Nationalist Party. He was an elected member of Parliament between 1987 and 1992. Dr Portelli was Head of the Maltese Delegation, Council of Europe. He is currently a regular contributer to the local media.
